Carol Seajay published and edited the Feminist Bookstore News, a magazine for feminist, lesbian, and gay book trade for 25 years. She learned bookselling at the historic A Woman's Place bookstore in Oakland, CA, then co-founded Old Wives Tales bookstore in San Francisco in 1976 which she co-managed for eight years. Since closing Feminist Bookstore News she has worked in the computer industry as a SQL programmer, a tech project manager, and a technical writer.

Richard Labonte worked with A Different Light Bookstores for 20 years and wrote the Gay Men's Lit column for Feminist Bookstore News for eight years.
