Carol Seajay published and edited the Feminist Bookstore News, a magazine for feminist, lesbian, and gay book trade for 25 years. She learned bookselling at the historic A Woman's Place bookstore in Oakland, CA, then co-founded Old Wives Tales bookstore in San Francisco in 1976 which she co-managed for eight years. Since closing Feminist Bookstore News she has worked in the computer industry as a SQL programmer, a tech project manager, and a technical writer.

Richard Labonte worked with A Different Light Bookstores for 20 years and wrote the Gay Men's Lit column for Feminist Bookstore News for eight years. He now lives in rural eastern Ontario, Canada, edits the annual Best Gay Erotica anthology for Cleis Press, and writes the Book Marks review column for Q Syndicate (see www.qsyndicate.com for syndication information).
